Starting Procedure For Diesel Generators

 Starting procedure for Diesel Generators in "Manual" mode
  • Keep the Emergency Stop switch in  DG panel in released condition.
  • In DG panel keep the Selector switch in "Local" mode.
  • Keep DG and EB ACB  in "LOCAL" mode in relevant MDB.
  • Ensure the Lube oil level is with in the allowable limit.
  • Check day tank diesel level (above 75%).
  • Keep the radiator water upto the Brim.
  • Keep the batteries in fully charged condition.
  • If power fails switch on the DG ACB by Turn the "TNC" switch to Close position
  • Check D.G Output Voltage,Load Current,Frequency,Water Temp,Lube oil Pressure,Battery Voltage and Day tank diesel level.
Stopping procedure for Diesel Generators in "Manual" mode
  • Ensure the E.B. voltage is with in the limit i.e.,10 kv to 11.5kv.
  • Close the SF6 breaker of relevant Transformer.
  • Now Switch off the ACB of relevant DG and Close the relevant transformer ACB.
  • After 60 Seconds, switch off the Engine.
